The Grasshoppers are a gang led by Hopper, the arch rivals of the Ant Colony, and are the main antagonists of the movie A Bug's Life.
Members: Hopper (Leader, formerly), Molt (Second-in-command, formerly), Thumper, Axle, Loco, and many more unnamed members.
Hopper was voiced by Kevin Spacey
Molt was voiced by Richard Kind
Thumper (in the credits) was voice by David L. Lander
Axle was voiced by Jan Rabson
Loco was voiced by Carlos Alazraqui
Hopper, Axle, and Loco all are deceased. Thumper had run away after being scared by Dot and Dim. Molt had quit to join the Circus Bugs. All of the other unnamed Grasshoppers left for unknown reasons.

- They are based on the bandits from Seven Samurai and The Magnificent Seven, with Hopper being the equivalent of Calvera from the latter movie.
- The closest real-life equivalent to them is the Euthystira brachyptera, belonging to the Acrididae family.
