The three unnamed baby chicks are minor characters in the movie A Bug's Life.
They are the ones who evidently eat Hopper, the main antagonist of the film.
Appearance[]
The chicks are shown to look like regular yellow chicks. As the movie is in the bugs' perspective, they are shown as slightly taller than many of the bugs and considered "mini-giants", but in a human's perspective, they are most likely very small baby chicks, as they are shown to be newly hatched.
Personality[]
The chicks aren't seen to show much emotion, as they are non-verbal, just like their mother. However, they seem very excited as they see the food that they were about to receive for dinner. (Which was Hopper)
Biography[]
The chicks are first seen unhatched during the halfway point of the movie in the bird's nest. Sometime after Flik, Dot, and the other Circus Bugs' escape from the chicks' mother, they hatch from their eggs and taken care of by their mother.
They are later seen after the battle against the ants and the Grasshoppers. (to which the ants win) When Hopper chases Flik and Atta to the bird's nest and tortures Flik by choking him, the bird notices the two bugs. (Atta had gone into hiding) Hopper, thinking that this bird is another fake bird created by Flik to scare him away, insults the bird. The bird responds by roaring (chirping to a human) at Hopper and clutching him with her beak. She then feeds Hopper to her newly hatched offspring, ultimately ending Hopper's reign of terror.
Trivia[]
The chicks are the first Pixar characters who are newborns. (Unless you count a newly bought toy to be considered born, in which that case Buzz Lightyear would take this title)
