Axle and Loco are minor characters in A Bug's Life. They are members of Hopper's gang. Axle is taller and one of Loco's antennas is cut in half.
A Bug's Life[]
"Three grasshoppers at the bar don't want to fly back to Ant Island. "When it starts to rain, we might as well be sucking bug spray," one says. They send Molt to talk to Hopper, who squashed the suggestion and the threesome under an avalanche of grain."
They believe that it's pointless to return to Ant Island, as they already have enough food and the rains could come any day, and convince Molt to give this idea to Hopper as his own, assuming that he would get beaten for such an idea if he didn't like it. When Molt informs Hopper and receives a sharp reply, he tells Hopper that they gave him the idea. Hopper then extracts payback by killing Axle and Loco by burying them in a large pile of grain.
